About our School

CT Academy of Medical Coding was founded because of two important needs brought about by the rapidly changing medical coding industry. First, the need for trained coding personnel by physician practices, hospitals and the insurance industry, and second, the need of quality education by individuals who are interested in making a commitment to enhance their careers and increase job knowledge.
Our school is licensed by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) to teach the Professional Medical Coding Curriculum (PMCC). Our instructors are AAPC-PMCC approved and hold the CPC-I designation by the AAPC.

Approved By the CT Commissioner of Higher Education

CT Academy of Medical Coding has been approved by the CT Commissioner of Higher Education. All private occupational schools must be approved by the Commissioner of Higher Education to offer postsecondary training in Connecticut. It is important to always ask a medical coding school if they have been approved by the CT Commissioner of Higher Education prior to registering for their classes. Schools not approved by the CT Commissioner of Higher Education are operating illegally. To verify if a school has been approved by the CT Commissioner of Higher Education you may log onto their website at www.ctdhe.org or call (860)947-1816.

Mission Statement

CT Academy of Medical Coding is committed to being a leader in advancing the medical coding industry through quality education and professional development.
