School Policies

Admissions Policy

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for admission
  • Students must complete an application and enrollment agreement
  • A $100 non-refundable registration fee must accompany all student applications.
  • Prior computer knowledge or experience is highly recommended for success in this field due to the highly computerized coding and billing industry but is not required for class.
  • Programs are taught in English only. Reading, speaking and understanding English is a requirement.

Refund Policy

  • Up to two weeks prior to start of class: Full refund of all monies paid except non-    refundable $100.00 registration fee.
  • Prior to 2nd class:  50% of all monies paid
  • After 2nd class:  No Refund
  • Refunds are issued within 30 days based on the last day of verifiable attendance
Cancellation Policy
A student may voluntarily withdraw from a program of study and should notify the School
Director either in writing or by calling the School Director at (203)271 -2631. All refunds are
based on the last date of verifiable attendance and will be made according to the school's refund policy.

Complaints
Students who have any concerns or complaints about the school's operation should contact the School Director for evaluation and resolution at (203)271 -2631. If a student is unable to resolve a complaint at the school level, he/she are encouraged to contact the CT Commissioner of Higher Education, 61 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT 06105, (860)947-1816.

Employment Assistance
CT Academy of Medical Coding does not have a placement service and does not guarantee employment or any level of compensation following program completion.

Financial Assistance
CT Academy of Medical Coding does not offer financial assistance for any of our programs.

Nondiscrimination
CT Academy of Medical Coding does not discriminate or permit discrimination against any person or group of persons on grounds of race, color, religious creed, age, marital status, national origin, sex, mental retardation (including mental disability) or physical disability.

Attendance
All absences and missed time must be made up due to the condensed nature of these programs.

Leave of Absence
A student must discuss a leave of absence with the school director and arrangements will be made on a case by case basis.
